Art Day
This year Art Day was all about dots!
Art Lead Mrs Shelton organised a whole school Art Day looking at the works of Yayoi Kusama, Vivien Blackett, Betty Acquah and Wassily Kandinsky. Pupils explored making dots through collagraph printmaking, painting with found objects, fingerprints, pointillism and even using a salad spinner!
The Artist Imogen Downs joined us in the afternoon to explain her artistic process. Pupils working with Mrs Shelton and Imogen Downs created squeegee paintings and we even let the rain make our dots for us in powder paint.
The pupils enjoyed coming up with inventive ways to complete dotty challenges such as making the smallest dot, making the most dots on one piece of paper, and making a dot using something square.
Well done to all the creative Fulbourn pupils for creating so much art in one day!
