Superhero Lunch Day!

We would like to strongly encourage all children to have a school meal on Thursday 3^rd October, when there will be a special Superhero theme menu.  If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 they are entitled to a free meal, so why not let them try a free lunch on that day?  If they are unsure, they can bring a packed lunch along, too.  There will be lots of adults available to support them to have a try and enjoy the experience with their friends.

It is especially important to the school that as many children as possible in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (those entitled to a free infant lunch) and those entitled to Free School Meals have a lunch on that day.  Our future funding is based on the number of free lunches taken and we will receive £458 per child for each UIFSM meal served.

We are very pleased to be able to offer school meals to all children at Fulbourn Primary School.  All children have their meals in our school halls.  ABM are our new catering providers and offer a variety of choices of meals for the children, all of which are cooked in our school kitchen.  Children are able to choose which meal they would like each morning so we ask that parents please take some time to look at the menu with their child and talk about the different options. 

Children in Key Stage 1 (Reception, years 1 and 2) are entitled to receive free school meals under the Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme.  The cost of meals for children in Key Stage 2 (if not eligible for free school meals) is £2.70 a day.  Meals are paid for using our online Reach More Parents system.
