Cambridge United Family Season Ticket Offer

We are pleased to be able to circulate our 24/25 Family Season Ticket offer for families at your school.

Here at Cambridge United we are halfway through the season and would love to see as many new supporters and families down to the Cledara Abbey Stadium as possible! We have opened our new family stand in the ground which offers lots of family friendly attractions, such as our Kids’ Zone, our mascot Marvin the Moose, kid friendly food options and much more, and we want to offer your pupils the opportunity to come down to try them out with our 2024/25 School Vouchers.

The voucher allows recipients to buy heavily discounted Adult and Junior tickets in the Mead South Family Stand with the voucher offering an Adult and Junior ticket for just £12!

The vouchers are redeemable for the following fixtures:

Saturday 25^th January – 12:30pm – Mansfield Town
Saturday 1^st February – 3pm – Wycombe Wanderers
Saturday 15^th February – 12:30pm – Exeter City FC
Saturday 22^nd February – 3pm – Stockport County
Saturday 29^th March – 3pm – Northampton Town

The vouchers can be redeemed by scanning the QR code on the attached graphic and the discount will be automatically applied to your basket.

We have seen our supporter base grow quickly in the past few years including a big increase in families and children and we have been consistently ranked amongst the highest clubs in the EFL in their Family Excellence Report. Attracting and retaining families is a key priority for us so we’d love to see as many local families at our games next season as possible.

We'd love to welcome as many families as possible to The Cledara Abbey Stadium this season.

NHS Pharmacy First Service

Did you know that the NHS Pharmacy First Service enables children and adults to get convenient access to healthcare advice and treatment where appropriate, for seven common conditions without the potential delay of having to wait for a GP appointment? Accessing the service may mean that we can help children feel better and get back to school as quickly as possible, as well as supporting parents/carers to also get better if they are unwell with one of the conditions covered under the service.

There is no need to make an appointment; parents or carers can pop into their local Boots pharmacy with their child and ask for help under the service.

Support for the following conditions can be accessed under the service, free of charge (unless NHS prescription charges apply):

Common condition	Patient eligibility
Earache	1 to 17 years
Impetigo	1 year and over
Infected insect bites and stings	1 year and over
Sore throats	5 years and over
Sinusitis	12 years and over
Uncomplicated urinary tract	Women 16 to 64 years
Shingles	18 years and over

Community Pharmacy England, who represent community pharmacy owners in England, have created a suite of resources for use by schools; you can use any that would suit your methods of communication with parents/carers to raise awareness of this important service. Resources include:

ü Downloadable posters which can be displayed in reception/waiting areas or staff rooms.

ü Downloadable flyers which could be included in school bags or left in reception/waiting area.

ü Digital screen options which could be played if you have a digital screen in your reception/waiting area.

ü Template news stories that could be included on your school website or in newsletters; and

ü Template letter to email out to parents/carers highlighting the Pharmacy First service.

St. Vigor's Church are looking for six more children to join their choir. Children who are aged 7+ and who love to sing would be welcome to attend a taster session on Wednesday 15th January. Please see this letter for more information.

Latest news from Fulbourn Arts

Weenie Warblers Baby and Toddler group would like to invite you to join us on Friday mornings during term time. We are a small parent run group welcoming parents, grandparents and carers with their children under school age.

You can find us in the Great Wilbraham Village Hall between 9.15-11.45 with toys, books, tea & biscuits (main selling point for some of the toddlers!), and a chance for both children and adults to socialise.

There is a small charge of £1.50 per family to keep us running and the biscuits in stock. Please also share with local parents of children under school age who may not have older siblings at school that may like somewhere different to try on a Friday morning.

As a local teacher, Cub Scout Leader, and Forest School Leader, I have founded this venture with a mission to make nature-based learning accessible to all. With a team of experienced staff and a fully equipped site, including toilets, shelter and disability parking, we provide a safe and enriching natural environment for children to thrive.
